[ubuntu] Problem with sound since mother board change

hi
yesterday i swapped the mother board in my computer for one that enabled the ram and cpu to run at full speed. but since then i have no sound. it was working before. everything else is working correctly. i have search through the forum and come across guides, been to the alsa mixer etc but the more i look the more confused i seem to get

any help would be much appreciated
